This Artefacto was designed by Lørdag & Søndag in Mexico City and hand-woven by master artisan Don Claudio in the Sierra Madre Oriental- mountain range of the State of Oaxaca, México. Rattlesnake-shaped pieces inspired by a sculpture of Ahuítzotl, an aquatic animal from pre-Hispanic mythology that features a human hand at the end of its tail. These pieces are woven without an internal metal structure using a fiber called G'noo Xombé Nisin, in Mazatec, the local language of the region.
