A series of pitch-black wooden sculptures featuring a burnt finish using the yakisugi method, inspired by the bird Quiscalus mexicanus, called “pich” in the Mayan language of the Yucatan Peninsula.
Fun fact: Pich are often called “crows” although they are not related to the corvus family.
Designed by Lørdag & Søndag in Mexico city and manufactured by master artisan César Zamorano from Torno Tonalá, in the city of Tonalá, Jalisco.

Serie de esculturas negras, de madera quemada al estilo yakisugi, inspiradas en el ave Quiscalus mexicanus, llamado “pich” en la lengua maya de la Península de Yucatán.
Dato curioso: El “pich” es a menudo llamado “cuervo” aunque no está emparentado a la familia corvus.
