This piece is inspired by the bird Quiscalus mexicanus, called “pich” in the Mayan language of the Yucatan Peninsula. Artefacto Pich is part of a series of pitch-black wooden sculptures featuring a burnt finish using the yakisugi method, designed by Lørdag & Søndag in Mexico city and manufactured by master artisan César Zamorano from Torno Tonalá, in the city of Tonalá, Jalisco.
Fun fact: Pich are often called “crows” although they are not related to the corvus family.

Height: 160 cm / 63 inches

Width: 35 cm / 13.7 inches
